The Alienware AW2725QF monitor is a 27-inch QD-OLED gaming display with dual resolution capability. It offers 4K at up to 165Hz for immersive gaming or 1080p at up to 360Hz for competitive gaming.

Alienware AW2725QF Monitor — 27″ 4K QD-OLED Dual Resolution

QD-OLED combines OLED’s per-pixel light emission with quantum dot colour enhancement. The result is near-infinite contrast and wider colour gamut coverage. The AW2725QF switches between 4K at up to 165Hz for detail-rich gaming and 1080p at up to 360Hz for esports and competitive titles where frame rate matters more than resolution. The 0.03ms grey-to-grey response time eliminates motion blur in fast-paced scenes. HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1 provide the bandwidth required for 4K high-refresh output. Premium Gaming Monitor for South African Gamers

South African gamers who want a single monitor that performs at the highest level for both immersive single-player gaming and competitive multiplayer will find the Alienware AW2725QF’s dual resolution capability uniquely flexible. Rather than choosing between a 4K monitor or a high-refresh-rate 1080p display, the AW2725QF provides both in one panel. QD-OLED’s contrast advantage over LCD panels (even high-end IPS) is significant for dark scene gaming where shadow detail and enemy visibility in unlit areas matter. QD-OLED vs IPS Gaming Panels

IPS gaming panels provide good colour accuracy and wide viewing angles but rely on a backlight, limiting contrast to 1000:1–1500:1. QD-OLED panels provide essentially infinite contrast because each pixel produces its own light and can be fully turned off. The result is deeper blacks and more vivid highlights. The trade-off is that QD-OLED panels can exhibit slight colour fringing on bright text on dark backgrounds, and are more susceptible to burn-in with static elements than IPS. For gaming with varied on-screen content, burn-in risk is low with normal use.
