The APC Smart-UPS 2000VA rack is the two-rack-unit rack-mount variant of APC’s Smart-UPS C 2000VA line-interactive UPS. Where the tower variant suits standalone deployment beside a workstation, the 2U rack variant integrates into a nineteen-inch rack enclosure. It sits alongside servers, switches and patch panels in a structured South African server room layout. This makes rack-mounted UPS a cleaner and more space-efficient solution than floor-standing tower units for structured South African data centre environments.

The rack form factor consolidates power protection into the rack infrastructure. A single rack-mounted UPS protects multiple 1U and 2U servers in the rack without floor space or cabling compromises. The APC Smart-UPS 2000VA rack provides 2000VA / 1300W — sufficient for one or two tower-equivalent loads in a standard 2U chassis.

Automatic Voltage Regulation for South African Grids

Line-interactive topology with AVR corrects input voltage sags and surges without switching to battery. USB and serial management ports connect to a rack server for APC PowerChute monitoring and graceful automated shutdown. The APC Smart-UPS 2000VA rack is compatible with APC’s optional network management card for SNMP monitoring through existing network management systems. This integrates UPS status into IT infrastructure monitoring alongside server health and network equipment alerts.
