The Cudy SM10GL (SM10GL) is an SFP+ copper transceiver that brings 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity to any switch, router, or NIC with a standard SFP+ cage. Using Cat6a cable, it supports 10Gbps operation over distances up to 30 metres — and falls back to 5G/2.5G/1Gbps for up to 100 metres over Cat5e/Cat6. This makes it ideal for 10G server uplinks, NAS connectivity, and high-bandwidth inter-switch links where fibre is impractical.
Multi-vendor SFP+ compatibility ensures it works with popular platforms from Cisco, Mikrotik, Ubiquiti, QNAP, Synology, and other standard SFP+ cage implementations without additional configuration. The plug-and-play design requires no drivers or software on the host device. A cost-effective alternative to fibre SFP+ transceivers for copper-based 10G infrastructure.
