Both DB04250 configurations are Copilot+ certified. The NPU capability is identical. The Core Ultra 5 226V has lower boost frequency (4.5GHz vs 4.8GHz) and fewer CPU performance cores. For AI-accelerated Copilot+ features that use the NPU, both configurations perform identically. For CPU-intensive workloads such as software compilation or running multiple demanding applications simultaneously, the Core Ultra 7 provides more headroom.
