The Targus Chill Mat hub is a two-function desk accessory for laptop users who work long sessions and need both thermal management and additional USB connectivity. Dual fans draw air across the laptop’s underside where processors and GPUs exhaust heat. Sustained workloads maintain higher performance when thermal throttling is avoided.

A single USB cable from the laptop activates both functions at once. The fans spin and all four USB ports on the hub become active. Only one laptop USB port is consumed for both cooling and hub connectivity. This is practical on thin-and-light machines where available ports are limited.

Adjustable Tilt and Ergonomic Working

The Targus Chill Mat hub offers multiple tilt positions to raise the rear of the laptop. This improves the typing angle and directs airflow more effectively beneath the chassis. At flat position it functions as a standard cooling base. Raised positions lift the screen and create space below for a compact external keyboard, reducing neck strain during extended desk sessions. A non-slip base keeps the mat stable on smooth desk surfaces.

The mesh top surface allows heat to dissipate upward while supporting the laptop base evenly. A bottom ledge prevents the laptop from sliding forward when the mat is tilted.

Hub Ports for Peripheral Connectivity

Four USB 2.0 hub ports connect a wired mouse, USB storage drive, external keyboard and headset without reaching around to the laptop’s rear panel.
